Types of Courses:

Fundamentals of Caregiving (FCG):

Home care providers who have never had any home care training will need to sign-up for the Fundamentals of Caregiving: a 28 hour course that will provide you with the basic skills needed to help you help your client.

Modified Fundamentals of Caregiving (MFCG):

Professionals with a current WA state license (RN, OT, PT, ST, LPN, or CNA for example) may qualify for the Modified Fundamentals of Caregiving: a self-study course that will introduce you to the special requirements for care provided in a community based setting within our great state. Continuing Education (CE):

New home care workers who have already met the Fundamentals of Caregiving training requirement are qualified to take a Continuing Education course to help meet their annual 10 hour requirement.

Safety Training (ST)

State paid home care providers who need to take a  4 hour safety training course.
